Depending on your current NBTevo firmware version, the activation will be done either via a simple USB Stick or remotely via TeamViewer using an ENET cable.
💾 Method 1: USB Activation (Firmware H, I, J, K, L, M, N, O)
No laptop or cable required! Follow these quick steps to apply the coding:
- Download the custom coding file we send you and copy it to a USB Flash Drive (4GB / 8GB / 16GB / 32GB) formatted to FAT32.
- Plug the USB drive into your car’s USB port.
- Wait for 30 seconds.
- Remove the USB flash drive from the car.
- Long-press the radio volume button for 15–20 seconds until the iDrive unit reboots.
- Wait another 20 seconds; the unit will start and apply the coding automatically.
- 🎉 Feature activated!
💻 Method 2: ENET Cable Activation (Firmware P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, X)
For newer firmware versions, the process is completed remotely. You will need:
- Laptop – Running Windows 8 or 10 / 11 (x64)
- ENET Cable (OBD2 to Ethernet)
- Wi-Fi Antenna – Your phone requires a wireless connection to the iDrive unit. (If your car doesn’t have one installed from the factory, you must purchase and plug it in yourself).

⚠️ If your EntryNav2 unit physically lacks a Wi-Fi port, Apple CarPlay is strictly not possible.
⚙️ EntryNav2 Remote Requirements:

- Strong Wi-Fi/Internet Connection – Required to ensure a stable remote session to your laptop.
- Wi-Fi Antenna – Must be installed on the back of the head unit so your iPhone can connect wirelessly.
